1974 Detomaso Pantera Rare Hunter Green - Only 6 in the worldPantera, Italian for panther. This was the first Italian supercar design with pure American muscle behind it. Ford was looking to follow up the now discontinued Shelby Cobra run of sports cars with something to compete with the Chevy Corvettes and the Ferrari Dinos of the day and so the Pantera was born with the big boy V8 engine of the that era. Such a cool piece of automotive history and it's been meticulously kept up so you can really enjoy and appreciate the uniqueness of the design when you sit in it and when you get it out on the road. It is an absolute blast to drive and you will get a ton of looks and waves and thumbs up! :)Ford decided to end the run of this car in 1975 but not before it had it's day. The magazine Road Test named the Pantera its Import Car of the Year for 1973 beating out marques such as Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Porsche. All in all this is a very cool and rare part of the automotive history that we all love so much and not to mention a thrill to drive and super fun to cruise around town on PCH or to Cars and Coffee to show off to your buddies! .
